Cookie Policy
Last updated: TBD
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies Vitale Health uses, why we use them, and the choices you have. For how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. We also use related browser-storage technologies (such as localStorage) for the same purposes. We refer to all of these as “cookies” on this page.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. These include the Supabase authentication session cookie, our cookie-consent preference cookie (vh_cookie_consent), CSRF / security tokens, and the cart identifier used during checkout. You cannot turn these off; without them you cannot sign in or place an order.
Analytics
Helps us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Analytics tags only load if you accept this category. We currently use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, privacy-preserving traffic measurement.
Marketing
Used to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and partner referrals (including our invitation-only affiliate program). Tags in this category only load if you accept it.
Your choices
When you first visit the site we show a banner that lets you accept all cookies, reject everything except strictly necessary, or open preferences and toggle each optional category. Your choice is stored in the vh_cookie_consent cookie for one year. If you are signed in, we also record the choice on your member profile for audit.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing the vh_cookie_consent cookie in your browser; the banner will reappear on your next visit.
PHI and Protected Health Information
We do not place medical intake content (PHI) in cookies. Intake data is encrypted at rest and accessed only through authenticated application sessions, which use the strictly-necessary cookies above.
